Fictional example: replacing cladding by an entrance
A small construction firm is replacing cladding beside an entrance the customer still uses. The team records the scope, workplace and contact, then describes the existing condition before work begins.
Their checklist covers access, barriers, equipment and delivery requirements. The SJA records the steps, hazards and measures for this job, with the people who will actually do the work.
Record checks before work is covered
During the job, employees record completed checks and relevant measurements or observations. A check can document something that will be difficult to inspect after completion.
If they find a material defect, they record the finding, who will follow it up and the action needed. Changed working conditions also need review in the SJA; earlier signatures do not confirm new content.
Show completed work and outstanding items
The final check compares the delivery with the agreement. Checks, before/after photos and selected findings can form part of the customer report once the relevant files have been received and verified.
Preview the report and download its PDF. Outstanding items must remain visible. Your company sends the report itself; the report is neither customer acceptance nor general proof that all requirements have been met.
